I accidentally uploaded this Wednesday, took it down, then never remembered to put it back up until last night, while I was out and about. <>Die Hard 2<> (also known as <>Die Harder<>) is the sequel to <>The French Connection<>…no, wait, I mean <>Die Hard<>. Truth be told, there’s not a lot to say about this film. It’s a very serviceable action film, with plenty of one-liners, gun fights, explosions, etc. It gets a little ridiculous at times, but overall it is believable enough that the viewer can get lost in the fantasy of John McClane (Bruce Willis), ordinary hero. That said, the plot is a little thin, and while the bad guy is decidedly evil, he doesn’t have much to him beyond that. He was never really fleshed out. His crew consists of the T-1000, or rather Robert Patrick is his last role before becoming one of film’s greatest robots. Dennis Franz also appears as the chief of police…of the airport. He rides McClane pretty hard, but McClane DOESN’T PLAY BY THE RULES. YEAH!Overall, a fun movie, but nothing earth-shattering. Worth seeing, especially if you liked the first.
